Howie & Honey
Case Study - Animated Web Series
In 2022, I was tasked with reimagining Howie & Honey, a children's animated web series, published by the Gospel Broadcasting Network.
Great care was taken during the design phase to create a world and cast of characters that were expressive and appealing while remaining practical and budget-conscious for animation. Three episodes were produced in the 2023 series.
In 2024, the opportunity arose to revisit these initial re-designs, resulting in new rigs and processes that allowed even more expression while being less heavy on resources. Improvements to the series production values and assets continued through 2026.

Case Study - Science Explainer Video Series
In 2020, I was hired to assist with the preproduction of a new educational web series called Long Story Short. As the series grew, it was eventually picked up for syndication by the Discovery Institute, and I was brought on to manage the bulk of the production process, including storyboards, illustration, motion graphics design, and character animation.
With most episodes focusing on biochemistry and other high-level subjects, a great deal of care and effort was necessary to translate these complex ideas into appealing and approachable designs.
Long Story Short currently stands at 15 episodes and has reached over two million viewers worldwide.
